• Staff who are trained to support and communicate with each individual service user
• Dedicated bathing, showering and toilet areas that promote independence using specialist equipment where necessary.
• Support both within and away from the home.
• Anthroposophical health support and a range of therapies and approaches to care some of which have a base in the anthroposophical work of Rudolf Steiner
• Access to specialist therapeutic arts and craft activities: sculpture, clay work, basic pottery, drawing, painting, greetings card making, jewellery making, papier mache, basic weaving, printmaking and tapestry.
• Access to the wider garden and grounds, it is intended to incorporate sensory areas that will reflect the therapeutic benefits towards the service user.
• Support to individuals to enable each person to make choices and communicate in their chosen manner.
• We are working towards developing all of the garden areas to have disabled access. The intention is to generate an activity programme that will include those interested within the maintenance and development of the garden grounds. Greenhouses and external workshops will house space for individual support.
• Developing individual pursuits and hobbies and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
• Transport will be available to access wider community facilities so that relationships within the community will be developed.
• Vocational and educational programmes will be included, as appropriate, to maintain and develop the occupational interests of the service user.
