Daneswood is a spacious former country house hotel set in the village of Shipham in the Mendip Hills. Daneswood has views over the Mendips to the sea at Weston Super Mare and across as far as Wales.

The grounds are landscaped and terraced to provide lawned and patio seating areas, a greenhouse, an ornamental fish pond and nature areas. There is ample car parking available adjacent to the house.

Daneswood has a range of communal areas including a large lounge area, dining areas, 2 conservatories, kitchen and laundry facilities and a specialist bathroom facility. Daneswood has an indoor spa bath / hydrotherapy facility with a ceiling hoist for those young people who have mobility difficulties.

Each individual will have their own bedroom furnished to their own tastes and needs; most bedrooms have full en-suite facilities.

Accommodation at Daneswood is spread over 3 floors; each floor is served by a lift which is large enough to hold a wheelchair user and their carer. Daneswood also has a dedicated staff training room and accommodation for staff.

Daneswood has a minibus which has a wheelchair ramp with a winch and provides space for 2 wheelchair users and their carers to access community activities; other vehicles will be purchased according to individual needs.
